Neighbors in Action's Food Share program, which includes a food share in Cabot and a food pantry in Lyndonville, serves three counties which are Vermont’s poorest, most rural and with highest unemployment and neediest population.
Social isolation is a reality for many in the rural communities of Vermont. Monthly community dinners are organized at the Neighbors in Action Cabot location and bi-monthly community lunches are hosted at the Neighbors in Action Lyndonville location. Folks from the local area enjoy meals with good food and most importantly socially enriching fellowship with one another.
The Cabot Harvest Hub, a not for profit project, is an online market for local foods and artisan goods. It gives our community convenient access to an increasing variety of products grown and made by their neighbors. It simultaneously supports our local producers to increase sales and share their products with their neighbors!
